With 33,000 unique professional visitors over three days and more than 450 exhibitors, including 100 international participants, the fifth edition established its role as a central meeting point for suppliers, distributors, producers and operators. The event once again provided a focused environment for innovation, business dialogue and industry advancement.
Competitions That Set the Standard
One of the defining elements of the Expo remains the organization and hosting of major industry competitions that operate at international standards:
• Arena Bucatarilor – 14th Edition, organized together with Selgros România, brought forward top culinary professionals competing for total prizes of 80,000 RON, reinforcing the professional credibility of the event.
• Dessert Journey – Fusion Around the World (3rd Edition) celebrated creativity in pastry and dessert, with winning teams awarded international training experiences, including courses at La Maison de l’Excellence in Paris and the Institut Culinar Disciples Escoffier.
• The Romanian Pizza Challenge (2nd Edition) showcased the most talented pizzaioli in Romania, with winners qualifying for the Pizza Senza Frontiere – SIGEP World Championship in Rimini 2026. The international validation followed shortly after: Ionut Mocanita earned 3rd place in the highly competitive “Pizza Napoletana Contemporanea” category at the Campionato del Mondo di Pizza – Pizza Senza Frontiere, competing with the same recipe that secured him 1st place at the Romanian Pizza Challenge.
These competitions offer participants the opportunity to perform under conditions aligned with global standards, strengthening professional confidence and international visibility.
